Everything is moving. Boxes are almost all assembled, cards are in process. Not all decks are photographed, because some are on cutting, some are on assembly, and some are on final round corners cut...  I hope to have some dates soon. 

The Successor Playing Cards

I also wanted to share with you the amazing project Presented by The Gentleman Wake and designed by Kevin Cantrell Studio: The Successor Playing Cards. I was happy to help Omar to have the boxes prototypes printed by Studio Pression, who prints the Crossed Keys boxes, but also the Ephemerid ones as well as all my letterpress projects. It is already a great success, but I if you do not see it, check and support the project.

The cards are printed !

Hope you are fine. What a relief to finally see the cards are printed !!! Noir Arts send me these pictures and it is so good to see these. Of course, I would love to tell you when I will have them but still hard to plan. What should take 1 week, take 1 month... etc...

Still on the move

I am happy to say that I exchange emails with Roman from Noir arts over the past few days and things are moving. Here come his latest messages :

NPCC is working and your cards are waiting in queue for printing. Metallic inks are ready. Boxes are in process of gluing. I would say that everything is as smooth as it could be under current conditions.

I still do not know when decks will be ready, and after that how and when they will arrive at me but I just have to stay optimistic.

For once I will send an update without photos. The events of the last few days have me in disbelief. And the consequences on my business have made my nights shorts. And I even feel terrible to think of my "business" while people are just fighting for their lives.

I am so devastating to watch what is happening and my heart goes out to all the people affected unjustly. It then becomes strange to be able to live my life as normal while unthinkable tragedy is occurring, but the reality for many of us is to live as normal. This moment is a really tough one and I am reminded how fortunate and luckily most of us are to live in peaceful countries and not awake each day to the fear of bombings, gunfire, or having our family's ripped apart.

The Crossed Keys Society playing cards are produced by Noir arts NPCC who are based in Lviv, in Ukraine. Of course, when I heard about the attack on the country I get in contact with them to know if they are safe. 

They told me they are ok but sadly, also announce to me "Because of the current situation - we cannot give you any info about project production/completion at the moment".

And today some hope came back from Roman, who send me this message :

As you may know, Putin declared war, so last week we have other things to do than to print cards. We are fine, defending from the Russian army. I don't know when this war will end but hope the end is near, with the help of other countries and pressure to Russia.

Anyway, Noir Arts is not dead and we will continue the production of cards in near future. I don't know how we will handle logistics under the war but I will let you know, just do not worry about your project, together we will handle this in some way.

I work with Noir Art for 4 years now, and they produce all my projects with great quality. I was contacted by Cartamundi for this project, and even though it will have been more simple to work with them as they have factories in France or Belgium, I decided to stay with NPCC as I know them and human relationships are more important than business decisions. It is even more important now.

While the Crossed Keys Society are in the making I will have the Ephemerid Private Reserve launched in sunday

Hope you are fine and safe. While The Crossed Keys decks are still in production, I will launch this Sunday the Private Reserve of the Ephemerid playing cards decks. 

Epehemerid was my very first project and I have done several editions. It will be for the leftovers collectors edition of previous campaigns, as well as never available before Ruby edition (only ten) and rare prototypes. It won't delay the production of the CKS as these are already made and almost ready to ship. This was planned for a long time and I can not push it back waiting for CKS to arrive. 

It will be launched on Sunday 02.20.22
